2.7 The scribal interface

See Jacobsen 1976 Treasures, p. 24: the author suggests a close correlation between an artifact (the Uruk vase) and aspects of the myth of Dumuzi: this differs, however, from the type of correlation we find with political texts, because the correlation is generic and not tied to a specific text, much less is the text inserted in the figurative dimension. Several other examples of such correlation (e.g., Urkesh Gilgamesh), but generally about single details, and none specific. Cf. also Vanstiphout 1986 Genre.
