This website offers an analytical coverage of the bibliography on Mesopotamian religion, with special emphasis on the spiritual dimension and on its relationship, and contrast, with its biblical counterpart.
The structure of the website organizes the data around a central narrative as a frame of reference. This is currently provided by the book «Quando in alto i cieli…» (Jaca Book 2012) / «Cuando en lo alto los cielos…» (Encuentro 2021) / «When on High the Heavens…» (Routledge: forthcoming).
Extended summaries, critical reviews, and topical essays are interlaced with each other and with the main narrative, as well as with the other websites of the 4banks.net cluster.
An open forum includes a number of participants who contribute on a regular basis to the website.
